Accessibility

Terrabyte prides itself on creating great experiences for everyone, no matter their abilities. Web accessibility is vital to make this a reality.

How do we measure accessibility?

Grading web accessibility can be hard, but thankfully tools generally available online make things easier. We use a combination of tools to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility guidelines, including accessiBe and Ecograder. These tools grade a web address for categories such as contrast, navigation, and contextual labels.

What do you do to make a website accessible?

Web accessibility includes a wide range of web technologies, attributes, and properties. Some of these features include (but are not limited to):

  • Sufficient contrast ratios between foreground and background objects
  • Page navigation by keyboard
  • Alternate text for images, icons, and links
  • Labels for forms, buttons, and other interactive elements
